At the 8th Passivhaus conference held on November 3 and 4, 2016 at the Navarra Conference Center and Auditorium in Pamplona, our passivhaus showroom home in Guadalix de la Sierra was presented as a case study, highlighting the general characteristicsof housing, all the actions carried out to obtain the certificate and how it has managed to become the first self-sufficient passivhaus in Spain.
We want to highlight that although Angola Email List achieving the certificate has required a great effort that is impossible to achieve without teamwork, we still wanted to go one step further and achieve more efficiency than required by this standard, all of this also thanks to the constant work in I +D+i of 100x100wood .
There were two speakers at the presentation: Cristina Romero passivhaus designer from RC Arquitectura and Manuel Camero from Solucciona Energía. In the first part of the presentation, Cristina gave a general overview of the characteristics of the home, the improvements made to obtain the passivhaus certificate and Manuel, in the second part of the presentation, talked about the air conditioning system and the photovoltaic solar installation that solution implemented in our showroom home.
We leave you with some of the keys to this presentation as a summary:
WHAT IS OUR HOUSING LIKE?
Our passivhaus home is located in Guadalix de la Sierra (Madrid). The house has a light wooden framework construction system, wood fiber insulation throughout its envelope and exterior and interior finishes with a wooden frieze and SATE system also on one of its facades. Laminated wooden windows with triple glazing, and natural paints and stains, always trying to make them free of volatile elements.
Before we immersed ourselves in achieving this challenge, our homes had always performed very well energetically, achieving A or A+ energy ratings in 100% of the cases.
A passivhaus used as a showroom home
Currently our passivhaus home is used as a showroom and is a test bed in which we continue working and innovating and also serves to bring this construction standard closer to the public, due to this, visits are made (by appointment) and organized open days through the Passivhaus platform or the passivhaus institute that allow us to show attendees the feeling of living in a home with these characteristics.
